The animals listed here are various from the ones that lives in the ocean to those that stays on the landside. Sometimes we always wonder why does beautiful sometimes comes with a price, that sentence really shows what venomous animals is about, you see most of the most poisonous / venomous animals on earth are physically very beautiful to see, check out below:
Box Jellyfish
Box jellyfish are best known for the extremely powerful venom possessed
by some of their species. The Chironex fleckeri and the Carukia barnesi
(Irukandji) species are amongst the most venomous creatures in the
world. Stings from such species are excruciatingly painful, either
initially or as an after-effect, and are often fatal to their prey and
sometimes even for humans. However, not all species of Box Jellyfish are
this dangerous to humans.
King Kobra
The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake. Found in south east Asia.
It can grow more than five meters in length. It eats smaller snakes and
is called snake eater. Its single bite can kill a human. It injects
large quantity of venom in a single bite, though its venom is less toxic
but it injects five times more venom than any other snake causes death
of a victim. Its bite is also capable of killing big animals like
Giraffe and elephants.
Cone Snail
This little beautiful lookingCone snail can be as
deadly as any other animal on this list. One drop of its venom is
powerful enough to kill more than 20 humans. If you ever happen to be
in warm salt water environment (where these snails are often found) and
see it, don’t even think of picking it up. Of course, the true purpose
of its venom is to catch its prey, and not to kill you. Symptoms of a cone snail sting can start immediately or can be
delayed in onset for days. It results in intense pain, swelling,
numbness and tingling. Severe cases involve muscle paralysis, vision
changes and breathing failure. There is no antivenom. However, only
about 30 human deaths have been recorded from cone snail envenomation.
The cone snail uses a “harpoon” loaded with venom that it launches with a
muscular contraction to inject its prey.
Blue Ringed Octopus
It is a small size octopus, a size of a golf ball.
Its venom is capable of killing human. This small animal carries enough
venom to kill 25 people. There is no anti venom for its deadliest
venom. Its has a pain less bite always makes you feel a harmless bite
but its poisonous venom starts working on body very fast, it begin with
muscular weakness numbness and breathing problem and ultimately resulting death. They are found in salty waters of Japan and Australia.
Stonefish
Stonefish is a genus of fish of the family Synanceiidae, the Stonefishes, whose members are venomous, dangerous, and even fatal to humans. It is the most venomous fish in the world. They are found in the coastal regions of Indo-Pacific oceans. Synanceia are primarily marine, though some species are known to live in rivers. Its species have potent neurotoxins secreted from glands at the base of their needle-like dorsal fin spines which stick up when disturbed or threatened. The vernacular
name of the species, the stonefish, derives from being able to
camouflage and transform itself to a grey and mottled color similar to
the color of a stone. Divers have sometimes stepped on them, thinking they are stones.
Death Stalker Scorpion
Most scorpions are relatively harmless to humans as stings produce only
local effects (pain, numbness or swelling). However, the Death Starker Scorpion
is a highly dangerous species because its venom is a powerful cocktail
of neurotoxins which causes an intense and unbearable pain, then
fever, followed by coma, convulsions, paralysis and death. Fortunately,
while a sting from this scorpion is extremely painful, it would be
unlikely to kill a healthy, adult human. Young children, the old, or
infirm (with a heart condition) are at the biggest risk. –Death stalker
scorpions are spread in North Africa and Middle East.
Inland Taipan
This one is the most venomous snake in Australia. Its venom is so
poisonous that its single bit may kill 100 humans or more than 200,000
mice. Its venom is 300 times more poisonous than cobra. Its venom can
kill a human in just 40 -50 minutes. Fortunately Inland Taipan has a shy
nature so it is not often found around humans. There is an anti-venom
available and fortunately there is no human fatality is registered.
The Brazilian Wandering Spider
The Brazilian Wandering Spider
(Phoneutria) or banana spider appears in the Guinness Book of World
Records 2007 for the most venomous spider and is the spider responsible
for most human deaths. This spider is believed to have the most potent
neurotoxic venom of any living spider. Only 0.006mg (0.00000021oz) is
sufficient to kill a mouse. They are also so dangerous because of their
wandering nature. They often hide during daytime in highly populated
areas inside houses, clothes, boots, and cars. Its venomous bite causes
not only intense pain, the venom of the spider can also cause priapism –
uncomfortable erections lasting for many hours that lead to impotence.
Poison Dart Frog
If you ever happen to be running through
the rain forests somewhere in Central or South America, do not ever pick
up beautiful and colorful frogs – it can be the Poison Dart Frog. This
frog is probably the most poisonous animal on earth. The 2 inch long
(5cm) golden poison dart frog has enough venom to kill 10 adult humans
or 20,000 mice. Only 2 micrograms of this lethal toxin (the amount that
fits on the head of a pin) is capable of killing a human or other large
mammal. They are called “dart frogs” because indigenous Amerindians’ use
of their toxic secretions to poison the tips of their blow-darts.
Poison dart frogs keep their poison in their skins and will sicken or
kill anybody who touches or eats it.
Puffer Fish
After Golden dart frog puffer fish is the second most poisonous
animal on the face of the earth. Its skin is very poisonous to human but
still it’s meat is considered as a delicacy in Japan and Korea. Most of
the death because of this fish has happened when untrained people tried
to catch and prepare it. Its venom causes dizziness, vomiting, difficult breathing, and rapid heart rate
and muscle paralysis. Victim dies after four to twenty four hrs. There
are around 40 incidents per year of Puffer fish poisoning. Due to its
poisonous skin only experienced and licensed chefs are allowed to
prepare this fish
