Usain Bolt, is a Jamaican sprinter and a five-time World and three-time Olympic gold medalist. Usain Bolt is the world record and Olympic record holder in the 100 metres, the 200 metres and the 4×100 metres relay(along with his teammates). He is the reigning Olympic champion in these three events, and is one of only seven athletes to win world championships at the youth, junior, and senior level of an athletic event.

Usain Bolt was born on 21 August 1986 in Sherwood Content, a small town in Trelawny, Jamaica. His parents ran the local grocery store in the rural area, and Bolt spent his time playing cricket and football in the street with his brother, later saying, "When I was young, I didn’t really think about anything other than sports".

The school had a history of success in athletics with past students, including sprinter Michael Green.
