Here comes the other fastest things in this world, this time it's the fastest bicycle and cyclist in the world, speed can never be forgotten in any sport, the faster a player sprint the more famous he / she will be, as a runner especially, even as football player, fast runner will be used more than slower players. so remember we can never under estimate speed in any sport. It was this one person, Sam Whittingham who is a Canadian cyclist who has held several world records on recumbent bicycles.
It was Whittingham’s bike that is nothing like your bike.
Whittingham, who runs Naked Bicycle and Design, set the record on (in?) the Varna Diablo III, a sleek teardrop-shaped recumbent designed and built by bike designer Georgi Georgiev. It features carbon fiber wheels and a carbon frame wrapped with Kevlar bodywork.
As of 2009, he holds the following world records under the sanction of the International Human Powered Vehicle Association:
Sam Whittingham with Georgi Georgiev's Varna Diablo
The 200 m flying start (single rider, World Human Powered Speed Challenge, Battle Mountain, NV): 133.284 km/h (82.819 mph) on 2009-09-18.
First unpaced cyclist ever to break the deci-mach mark ( 1/10 the speed of sound, World Human Powered Speed Challenge, Battle Mountain, NV): 82.33 mph on 2008-09-18. To date, still the only person to have accomplished this milestone.
The 1000 m flying start (single rider): 128.40 km/h (79.79 mph) on 2001-10-06.
The 1 mile flying start (single rider): 126.55 km/h (78.64 mph) on 2001-10-06.
The hour record: 90.724 km/h (56.373 mi) on 2009-07-17.
In 1993 he also held the record for the 200 m flying start (multiple rider).
Check out this video below:
Sam Whittingham is founder, designer and builder for Naked Bicycles, a custom bicycle and accessory fabrication company based on Quadra Island, British Columbia, Canada. The company was originally named Forte bicycles before a name change in April 2006.
Whittingham won the President's Award, the People's Choice Award and the Best of Show Award at the 2008 North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Portland, Oregon with an ornate fixed-gear bicycle that blended 1890s-style wooden rims and grips with modern hubs and a front disk brake. This bike then sold to seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong.
Sam Whittingham is the grandson of screenwriter Jack Whittingham, who wrote the first James Bond screenplay.
Today we found out that even using only human power, things could go so fast beyond what we could have ever imagined, that's the top fastest bicycle and cyclist in the world for you to know ^_^
Here it is the latest fastest thing for you to know, this time it is the fastest motorcycle / bike in the world, the dodge tomahawk. The Tomahawk was a Dodge non-street legal concept vehicle introduced at the 2003 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. It had futuristic and unusual design, featuring the 500 horsepower (370 kW) 8.3-litre (510 cu in) V10 SRT10 engine from the Dodge Viper. The vehicle has two front wheels and two rear wheels, making it a kind of motorized quadricycle rather than a typical motorcycle. The pairs of wheels move independently, allowing it to countersteer and lean in turns like a motorcycle. Dodge claimed the top speed was estimated at 300 miles per hour (480 km/h), based only on horsepower and final drive ratio and ignoring drag.[1] Joe Teresi, of Easyriders magazine and owner of the world record setting streamliner ridden by Dave Campos, scoffed at this due to the importance of drag, and Dodge declined offers to put the top speed claim to a test.
Hand-built examples of the Tomahawk were offered for sale through the Neiman Marcus catalog at a price of US$ 555,000, and up to nine of them might have sold. Dodge emphasized that the bikes were "rolling sculptures" not intended to be ridden.
Dodge Tomahawk's Full Specifications:

The Viper-powered Dodge Tomahawk concept vehicle shatters all the barriers of conventional thinking about personal transportation. This four-wheel, single-passenger vehicle is a sleek, rolling sculpture that combines art-deco styling with extreme engineering.
The 500-horsepower Viper V-10 engine powering the dual rear wheels gives this radical vehicle a potential top speed of nearly 400 miles per hour - for anyone who wants to test it. The Tomahawk roared into public view at the North American International Auto Show.
"The Dodge brand philosophy always challenges us to grab life by the horns," said Trevor Creed, Senior Vice President - Design, Chrysler Group. "In the case of Tomahawk, grabbing and holding onto anything for dear life is a necessity. It’s just that extreme and passionate; a glimpse into the soul and commitment of true enthusiasts."
Initial reaction to the concept vehicle typically comes in two words: "Wow" and "why."
The "wow" is easy to understand from Dodge, the brand that continues to drive its foot to the floor - most recently with the all-new 2003 Viper, Heavy Duty and Light Duty Rams and an SRT lineup dedicated to engineering the most powerful production vehicles in their segments.
But "why" would a company, famous for its innovative car and truck designs, go down this particular path?
"Tomahawk is an icon of the extreme thinking for a brand that is known not only for the legendary Viper and Ram, but also for all new, innovative vehicles such as the Magnum SRT-8 and Durango concepts," said Creed.
That extreme thinking produced a machine in the true tradition of power-junkie passion, powered by a 505 cu. in., 8300 cc aluminum Viper V-10 engine gives you the fastest motorcycle / bike in the world ^_^
Fastest roller coaster in the world The Formula Rossa, ever heard of it? I bet most of the people around the world haven't heard of this monster. Remember the last time you rode a roller coaster? Do you ask for more? Why? Is it because it's fast? or is it because it's high? or because of the magical combination of both?
Let us find out more about this world record breaking stuff, and while were at it why don't we start from where this roller coaster is located. US? nope, it is located at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the place is called Ferrari World.
There aren't a heck of a lot of indoor theme parks, but Ferrari World, at a whopping 925,000 sq. ft. (over 20 acres), is the world's largest. With Abu Dhabi's average temperatures reaching above 105 degrees F (41 degrees C) in the summer, the climate-controlled park is a welcome refuge for visitors.
Ferrari World
Perhaps the most striking feature of the park is its enormous red-domed roof. Ferrari World says that the bright red structure is supposed to resemble a Ferrari GT body, but it might also be mistaken for a renegade mothership from a big-budget science fiction movie. (Then again, it's unlikely any "War of the Worlds" spacecraft that landed in the desert would sport a huge Ferrari logo, as does the park's dome.)
Ferrari World sky view
A hybrid Epcot-type pavilion/Six Flags-type amusement park/corporate hospitality center, Ferrari World showcases the legendary automaker through sophisticated dark rides and other cutting-edge theme park technology. It also reinforces Ferrari's racing legacy with coasters and other thrill rides. And it acts as an emissary of Italy by offering attractions and exhibits featuring the country's landmarks and culture along with Italian eateries.
