Top 25 Most Popular Cartoon Characters

Let me present to you this rather long list, it's 25 most popular cartoon characters, you'll recognize every each one of them for sure, that's because of their popularity of course, if by any chance you don't know even
one of the character i listed here, well that doesn't mean i have failed to bring you the best relevant list, that only means that you have been living underground for these past five or six years or so. lol.

Nah... Just kidding, don't you worry, you'll definitely know all of them for sure.

Here they are in a snippets:

Patrick Star

Yes, of course he'd make it to this list, he's that dumb character from bikini bottom, he gained popularity because of his innocent yet so stupid behavior.

Curious George

George is a monkey who is quite curious by nature and his curosity takes you to so many great adventures.

Tweety Bird

Tweety Pie is a yellow Canary who lives with Granny. It has long lashes and a high pitched voice. Two hungry cats always on a lookout to eat this cute Tweety.

Garfield

Garfield revolves around three major characters, Garfield (himself), Jon Arbuckle (owner) and Odie (The Dog). As of 2007, it was syndicated in roughly 2,580 newspapers and journals, and held the Guinness World Record for being the world’s most widely syndicated comic strip.

Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse represents Disney in all its forms. He started life in black and white Steamboat Willie. Mickey Mouse isn't just a cartoon character, mickey is really has become an icon for the Walt Disney Company, who is known for his pleasent and happy go lucky attitute.

Homer Simpson

Homer Simpson is known throughout the world. Having been on TV for over 20 seasons, this patriarch is not the father who knows best, but he certainly tries.

Bugs Bunny

"What's up, doc?" Bugs Bunny is, perhaps, the most recognizable and famous cartoon character. Looney Tunes were first created as lead-ins to feature films. It was only later the cartoons became a Saturday morning staple. Generations later, Bugs Bunny is still tops.

Fred Flintstone

Fred Flintstone is the forerunner to Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin. He was the first portly animated husband who had a hot wife, not enough brains for his schemes and a bad temper. Yet, he loved his family.

Wile E. Coyote

Poor Wile E. Coyote. We don't want him to catch the Road Runner, but we sure feel bad for him. His ACME contraptions never work properly. You've got to admire his tenacity!

Batman

Can you imagine a time when Batman wasn't the Dark Knight we know now? Hard to believe the many transformations this superhero has seen through the years, especially on television. You can catch this caped crusader now on Cartoon Network in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. His chest is huge!

Tom And Jerry

Tom and Jerry chase each other, torment each other and generally try to defeat the other. Though Tom has the upper hand more than, say, Sylvester, he still has yet to make a meal of Jerry.

Tom is a lazy cat who loves napping, eating and running around the house to catch Herry, although he is seldomsuccessful. On the other hand, Jerry, the little mouse with adorable ears, us a fun filled loving mouse.

Woody Woodpecker

Another anti-hero, Woody Woodpecker lives to cause trouble. His most famous trait is no doubt his cackling, stuttering laugh.

Donald Duck

It wasn't the raspy voice or fashionable duds, but his eye-rolling attitude and exasperation with most of the world that made him so relatable.

Beavis And But-Head

Mike Judge (King of the Hill) brought us these stuttering slacker teenage boys on MTV. They worked at a fast food restaurant, went to school, watched videos and drove adults mad. Beavis and Butt-head were even popular enough to spawn a feature film titled Beavis and Butt-head Do America.

Scooby Doo And Shaggy

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are inseparable, in their antics and on this list. They're funny on two levels. The first is that, seen through the eyes of a child, they're just silly cowards who somehow always save the day and remain best friends.

SpongeBob SquarePants

Though several channels exist that provide entertainment made for the Y-rating crowd, one cartoon has endured for almost a decade, becoming more famous than its Nickelodeon fellows: SpongeBob SquarePants. Pineapples, snails and fast food were never so funny.

Popeye The Sailor Man

No one has ever done so much for spinach as Popeye. His bulging forearms, squinty eyes and staccato chuckle are recognized by many generations.

Popeye the Sailor Man is a fictional hero, who is most of the times saving his love interest Olive Oyl from Bluto, the villian. He gets energy from Spinach, although a big fan of Popeye series, but I still can’t convience myself to eat Spinach in any form.

Daffy Duck

Daffy Duck is to Bugs Bunny as Wile E. Coyote is to the Road Runner. Does Daffy envy Bugs? Is jealousy at the heart of his bitter attitude toward Bugs? Regardless, his tantrums and schemes make for great cartoons.

Bart Simpson

The next favorite character from The Simpsons is Bart. We all knew a kid like Bart, and sometimes wished we were like him.

Superman

Superman is the ultimate superhero. But is he a true superhero since he only has powers because he's an alien, from another planet? Or is he just a guy who fell to ground on the right planet? I'm sure fanboys debate this issue frequently, but still most people know this guy.

Winnie The Pooh

This little bear who started as a doodle in a beloved children's book has been a thriving franchise for Disney since they bought rights to him and his woodland friends in the '60s. Pooh is a cute cuddlesome bear who loves honey. With a latest flick on his adentures being stated to release on 15th July 2011, he will make summer break of Children, a memorable one.

Spider-man

Spider-man is the everyman superhero. He started out as the geek next door and was transformed into a mega-strong, mega-agile dude. Spider-man has been reproduced in TV cartoons many, many times. Most recently Spidey starred in The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Felix The Cat

Felix is a black and white cat created during the silent film era of the early 20th Century. His simple form and face make him easily recognizable. He was also the first cartoon character to gain enough popularity to award him a feature film.

So, there you go a nice list of 25 of the most popular cartoon character, hope you like it ^_^

He has become gals most wanted boyfriend after the movie The Notebook, acting passionately sure makes girls crazy about him, catch him in his latest action movie where he's looking devastatingly handsome, Drive.

David Becham (born May 2, 1975)

David Becham, he's made it again into this list as the only sportsman, who can deny that he is still one of the sexiest out there. I mean most people from the US don't go to watch him play in LA Galaxy because he play good football, rather because he look great, that's why. Becham recently announced that he's expecting his fourth child with his wife Victoria this summer.

Robert Pattinson (born May 13, 1986)

Unless you’ve been hidden under a rock for the last two years, you’ll know who Robert Pattinson is, he becomes enormously popular all over the world after starring in The Twilight series. Taylor Lautner (born Februari 11, 1992)

This guy right here also becomes popular out of his appearance in the very famous vampire drama The Twilight series. Sadly this is one Twilight star who is off the market. Taylor has been dating the beautiful and talented Lily Collins (daughter of British singer Phil, no less) since November.

Zack Efron (born October 18, 1987)

He becomes hugely popular after starring in also hugely successful TV series and movies High School Musical, his singing talent also helped him a lot as an actor. He was recently endured a rather long split from his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens. This growing man look and sounds great.

Honorable mention:

Brad Pitt (born December 18,  1963)

He makes it to this Sexiest Man Alive 2011 for old time sakes, i mean look at him when he's younger.
